Ellie Jane Goulding was born in Hereford England on December 30 1986. Tracey Goulding Summers, her mother worked in a store. Arthur Goulding is the father. Goulding is born around the year 2000. She has two sisters, Isabel and Jordan. The brother of her is Alex. Alex her younger brother plays his guitar. Alex also is part of a Hereford-based band. As a child her mother inspired her to become an artist. She began learning to play clarinet as a child at the age of age nine. When she was 14 years old She began writing lyrics, though she wasn't dedicated to writing songs until her college years. Goulding developed an interest in electronic music during her time in college. She was introduced to Frankmusik who was a producer of records via MySpace. With Frankmusik's help, she developed her own unique folktronica style.
