Kelly Nash was born in Davie, Florida, a suburb of Fort Lauderdale. Kelly Nash spent her childhood fishing and boating along with her father Ed Nash. Kaitlyn Nash and Carolyn Nash are her two sisters. Kelly Nash is of English, Irish, Swedish, and Portuguese Ethnic group. Her great-grandfather was a migrant to the United States from Portugal.



 Kelly Nash loved the Miami Marlins from an early age. While she was a huge sports fan at an early age, she always dreamed of becoming an anchor for a newscast. Kelly Nash received a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from Clemson University, Clemson, South Carolina in the year 2006. Her appearances on The Fly, the Nightly Game recap Show, and NHL Network Studio are a part of her duties as host for NHL Network Studio. In March 2015 she joined the MLB Network. She also began working for the NHL Network in 2015. It was during the time that the NHL Network's daily operations were run from the MLB Network headquarters.
